One of the central elements of mystical Egypt is the Egyptian religion, which was polytheistic and placed great importance on life after death. The Egyptians believed in a multitude of gods and goddesses, each with their own domain and role in the universe. They also believed in the existence of an immortal soul and practiced complex rituals and burial ceremonies to ensure the transition to the afterlife.
Symbolism played an important role in Egyptian culture and in its mystical dimension. Hieroglyphics, which were both a writing system and an art form, contained sacred and mysterious symbols. Each animal, plant, and object had a specific symbolic meaning, and their use was often linked to religious and magical rituals.
The pyramids, particularly the Great Pyramids of Giza, are perhaps the most iconic monuments of mystical Egypt. They were considered places of passage between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Pharaohs were buried inside the pyramids with their treasures and possessions, hoping to continue their rule in the afterlife.
